Pipes made from olive wood aren't exactly common, but not altogether rare.  This Il Duca Baron estate pipe from Italy isn't just made with the desert tones of the exotic wood, it has been sandblasted heavily to reveal a tactile surface deeply ingrained that displays the consistent and radial patterns of the beautiful wood.  Left smooth at the rim and adorned with an extension of briar, this bent beauty has a wide chamber and though not terribly deep, it does draw like a dream.  In excellent condition, this pipe made from an alternate material is no less a smoker than its briar cousins.
